Fall is coming...

OUR beauty queens after their pageant at the fair.
Fall is headed our way! Yippie! It is my most favorite time of the year, it starts to cool off (I am a hoodie kind of girl), the leaves turn beautiful colors, then Halloween and Thanksgiving and my most favorite of all, Christmas!
The last few months have went by quickly I must say, the most exciting thing for me personally is that I got a job at the local County newspaper, it is a little weekly paper.  I really enjoy it and we have been able to breath a little easier with a little extra income.  I am still in school.  I am taking a night Math class on Tuesdays and Thursday night from 530-645 and one online class.  It is an hour drive from where we live but worth it and I am home before the girls go to bed.
We went to Clinton, Shannon went the whole 10 days and I rode down with our friends Cody and Krystal on Wednesday.  Shannon was in the money on Friday!  Him and Beau did really well.  Next year I hope we get to work our horses and have them in better shape, it will be Shannon's 10th year to race at Clinton.
We had a blast!!! Shannon and I got to spend some much needed time together without the stress of everyday life, I think we both really tried to leave all the worries and just enjoy our time together.  I love that man with all I have and I am so thankful that god choose me to be his true love as he is mine.  Sometimes I question if I deserve someone like him but I know I do and Skyler and Kayden defiantly does!  Those girls have an amazing daddy!
Miss Kayden started 1st grade and is doing great!  We are so proud of her.  Since I first met her I knew she was smart, I have noticed that Shannon is smart like that too.  Skyler is growing like a weed.  She is so gorgeous and so ornery!  Both girls did a local pageant a couple weeks back and OMG they looked stunning!  Neither placed  but this is kinda a "who's who" town.  It drives these old timers crazy when they come into the newspaper and want to know who I am and where I'm from and why I'm here and so on...oh nosey little towns but good little towns and I LOVE it here!  Everything about it, it's where I wanna raise my child, it reminds me of the place that I was raised but that town no longer exist.  Bentonville, more like Vendorville!
I am recently decided to start blogging, writing or something regarding memories of my childhood, I would like to have them for Skyler and her children.  Especially memories I have of Grandma and Nana.  Grandma has been gone for a while now but I can still picture her face like I saw it this morning, Skyler has her lips.  Oh and the smell of her house, I will never forget that smell.  Possibly...sweet wood-chips or I could have just made that up because she was so sweet / kind and she loved wood working. Nana is fading fast, the Nana we all know anyways, oh how I love that lady and man did we have some fun times together, cooking and shopping, so many memories I never want to forget.
Anyways...I hope to have time to write more about that some day soon as the weather becomes chilly.
I have a feeling this fall I will have more time to blog so...talk to ya soon!
