Fall is coming...

OUR beauty queens after their pageant at the fair.
Fall is headed our way! Yippie! It is my most favorite time of the year, it starts to cool off (I am a hoodie kind of girl), the leaves turn beautiful colors, then Halloween and Thanksgiving and my most favorite of all, Christmas!
The last few months have went by quickly I must say, the most exciting thing for me personally is that I got a job at the local County newspaper, it is a little weekly paper.  I really enjoy it and we have been able to breath a little easier with a little extra income.  I am still in school.  I am taking a night Math class on Tuesdays and Thursday night from 530-645 and one online class.  It is an hour drive from where we live but worth it and I am home before the girls go to bed.
We went to Clinton, Shannon went the whole 10 days and I rode down with our friends Cody and Krystal on Wednesday.  Shannon was in the money on Friday!  Him and Beau did really well.  Next year I hope we get to work our horses and have them in better shape, it will be Shannon's 10th year to race at Clinton.
We had a blast!!! Shannon and I got to spend some much needed time together without the stress of everyday life, I think we both really tried to leave all the worries and just enjoy our time together.  I love that man with all I have and I am so thankful that god choose me to be his true love as he is mine.  Sometimes I question if I deserve someone like him but I know I do and Skyler and Kayden defiantly does!  Those girls have an amazing daddy!
Miss Kayden started 1st grade and is doing great!  We are so proud of her.  Since I first met her I knew she was smart, I have noticed that Shannon is smart like that too.  Skyler is growing like a weed.  She is so gorgeous and so ornery!  Both girls did a local pageant a couple weeks back and OMG they looked stunning!  Neither placed  but this is kinda a "who's who" town.  It drives these old timers crazy when they come into the newspaper and want to know who I am and where I'm from and why I'm here and so on...oh nosey little towns but good little towns and I LOVE it here!  Everything about it, it's where I wanna raise my child, it reminds me of the place that I was raised but that town no longer exist.  Bentonville, more like Vendorville!
I am recently decided to start blogging, writing or something regarding memories of my childhood, I would like to have them for Skyler and her children.  Especially memories I have of Grandma and Nana.  Grandma has been gone for a while now but I can still picture her face like I saw it this morning, Skyler has her lips.  Oh and the smell of her house, I will never forget that smell.  Possibly...sweet wood-chips or I could have just made that up because she was so sweet / kind and she loved wood working. Nana is fading fast, the Nana we all know anyways, oh how I love that lady and man did we have some fun times together, cooking and shopping, so many memories I never want to forget.
Anyways...I hope to have time to write more about that some day soon as the weather becomes chilly.
I have a feeling this fall I will have more time to blog so...talk to ya soon!

It's about time! :o)

Hey everybody! So life has been super busy lately! I guess that means warm weather is here. We have all been doing really great. Skyler is almost potty trained. She is wearing panties all the time but at night when she sleeps. She is so good about telling me when she needs to go pee. We were at Pizza Hut tonight and in the middle of taking a bite she told me she needed to pee, which she still calls poop mostly, we got up and went to the bathroom and she went right away.
Kayden has started swimming lessons. Shannon and I are so proud of her for doing so well. She is trying and not being shy at all around her teachers. We got lucky that she got a really great teacher. They are both little water bugs!

Shannon has started working 4 10 hour days. He is having to get up a little after 5 which that finally caught up to him tonight. He is really tired but I hope he will adjust soon.

I have started summer school, I am taking Anatomy and Philosophy. Was so scared about Philosophy but I am really enjoying it and hating Anatomy! So much to learn so quick. Thinking I should have waited until the Fall to take it but its too late now, you live and you learn! :) I am almost done with my AA degree and then will go on to either get a degree in Physical Therapy or Sonogram. Really interested in PT after moms accident and seeing the PT work with her and there is a huge demand for them and have yet to find many openings in the sonogram field or even x-ray tech so we shall see. Both programs will be hard to get in to. But for now I am just taking it one day at a time, semester at a time and just sticking with it.

We are headed to Arkansas this weekend. It seems like forever since we have been to the ranch. We are all really excited about getting to spend some time out there.

We have got to work on the house the last couple weekends. It was nice to get some stuff done but the list is still a mile long. No rush though we are just doing what we can. I painted the shutters two weekends ago and Shannon finished putting up the fence on the east side of the driveway. Our AC is fried and we finally found a new one that we picked up last week but we are just waiting on it to get hooked up. I am so over being hot!!!!

All together though...life is good! I know that I could not ask for a better man by my side or two better children to love! We have truly been blessed!!!
