So as everyone knows...WE GOT MARRIED! I can atleast blame some of the time I did not post on that! hehe
The wedding was wonderful and beautiful, it was all I ever dreamed of!
The girls have started school and are both doing really good. Kayden is in third grade now and is really just a brillant and bright girl. We are so proud of her. Sky is learning some new things and has her ABC's down as long as her shapes. BIG GIRL!
I am working from home most days now and going to school full time. So really busy with that but hopefully I will have time to still write in my blog.
PEACE. LOVE. and HAPPINESS!

School Days Cool Days
So both girls started school this week. Sky started 3 year old pre school at Hurley. She only goes half a day Monday thru Friday. So far she seems to really like it. Kayden started second grade this morning! I was watching them both play "ring around the rosie" the other day and it is amazing how much they have both grown! It is hard to believe that Kayden was 4 when I met Shannon. She tall and talks grown up. She is very mature for her age and such a sweet young lady. Sky had just turned a year old so she has changes in so many ways. Lately she has really gotten a personality and talks with a lot of sass! We have had to ask her to watch her attitude - the things kids learn from other children is amazing because I know some of the stuff she says she did not hear at home...but it mostly just fun "sass"! I lOVE being able to have conversations with her about stuff. She is currently on a god kick and wants to go to heaven to play with god and talks about it almost nightly. This all came about after we lost a dog and cat and then with Nana passing she thinks Heaven is just a short trip away. She says she can just jump up there and go see God. It is very sweet! Yesterday Kayden turned 7. We did not have her last night so Tuesday night we took her to dinner. She picked Taco Bell....gonna have to teach her a few things! lol After that we went and got a movie and some ice cream. It was a good night! Two weeks ago we had her birthday party - BBQ at the house and then we rented out the Crane pool. Kayden's sister Brookelyn got to come so that made it extra special for Kayden. Here are some pics I took of Kayden and Sky....everyone stay cool out there!

Summer Time Is Here
We competed (I attended) in the first chuckwagon race of the summer last weekend and Shannon ended up 3rd running rubber tire / big horse. His award for his success - a duffle bag. It is a nice duffle bag - for a duffle bag that is.
Our female Catahoula had her puppies on the 11th. Shannon said she would have them that morning but I never dreamed it would be before I left for work but sure enough I went and checked on her as I left and she had one in her mouth. I proceeded to call Shannon and explain to him that she was trying to kill them (in a very dramatic tone)! I was informed later that she was only protecting them and was just scared of what was coming out of her - rightfully so. We ended up with 8 leopard blue eyed pups! Beautiful pups!
I have been promoted to the News Editor of the Stone County Republican. Took on a lot more work but it is more of a satisfying job.
We had a great 3rd birthday party for Miss Skyler celebrating at the ranch and at Nana and Granddad King's. Thank you to all that came and shared that special day with my baby girl.
We are so proud of both the girls.
Enjoy life because you only get one! :)

Fall is coming...

| OUR beauty queens after their pageant at the fair. |
The last few months have went by quickly I must say, the most exciting thing for me personally is that I got a job at the local County newspaper, it is a little weekly paper. I really enjoy it and we have been able to breath a little easier with a little extra income. I am still in school. I am taking a night Math class on Tuesdays and Thursday night from 530-645 and one online class. It is an hour drive from where we live but worth it and I am home before the girls go to bed.
We went to Clinton, Shannon went the whole 10 days and I rode down with our friends Cody and Krystal on Wednesday. Shannon was in the money on Friday! Him and Beau did really well. Next year I hope we get to work our horses and have them in better shape, it will be Shannon's 10th year to race at Clinton.
We had a blast!!! Shannon and I got to spend some much needed time together without the stress of everyday life, I think we both really tried to leave all the worries and just enjoy our time together. I love that man with all I have and I am so thankful that god choose me to be his true love as he is mine. Sometimes I question if I deserve someone like him but I know I do and Skyler and Kayden defiantly does! Those girls have an amazing daddy!
Miss Kayden started 1st grade and is doing great! We are so proud of her. Since I first met her I knew she was smart, I have noticed that Shannon is smart like that too. Skyler is growing like a weed. She is so gorgeous and so ornery! Both girls did a local pageant a couple weeks back and OMG they looked stunning! Neither placed but this is kinda a "who's who" town. It drives these old timers crazy when they come into the newspaper and want to know who I am and where I'm from and why I'm here and so on...oh nosey little towns but good little towns and I LOVE it here! Everything about it, it's where I wanna raise my child, it reminds me of the place that I was raised but that town no longer exist. Bentonville, more like Vendorville!
I am recently decided to start blogging, writing or something regarding memories of my childhood, I would like to have them for Skyler and her children. Especially memories I have of Grandma and Nana. Grandma has been gone for a while now but I can still picture her face like I saw it this morning, Skyler has her lips. Oh and the smell of her house, I will never forget that smell. Possibly...sweet wood-chips or I could have just made that up because she was so sweet / kind and she loved wood working. Nana is fading fast, the Nana we all know anyways, oh how I love that lady and man did we have some fun times together, cooking and shopping, so many memories I never want to forget.
Anyways...I hope to have time to write more about that some day soon as the weather becomes chilly.
I have a feeling this fall I will have more time to blog so...talk to ya soon!

It's about time! :o)
Hey everybody! So life has been super busy lately! I guess that means warm weather is here. We have all been doing really great. Skyler is almost potty trained. She is wearing panties all the time but at night when she sleeps. She is so good about telling me when she needs to go pee. We were at Pizza Hut tonight and in the middle of taking a bite she told me she needed to pee, which she still calls poop mostly, we got up and went to the bathroom and she went right away.
Kayden has started swimming lessons. Shannon and I are so proud of her for doing so well. She is trying and not being shy at all around her teachers. We got lucky that she got a really great teacher. They are both little water bugs!
Shannon has started working 4 10 hour days. He is having to get up a little after 5 which that finally caught up to him tonight. He is really tired but I hope he will adjust soon.
I have started summer school, I am taking Anatomy and Philosophy. Was so scared about Philosophy but I am really enjoying it and hating Anatomy! So much to learn so quick. Thinking I should have waited until the Fall to take it but its too late now, you live and you learn! :) I am almost done with my AA degree and then will go on to either get a degree in Physical Therapy or Sonogram. Really interested in PT after moms accident and seeing the PT work with her and there is a huge demand for them and have yet to find many openings in the sonogram field or even x-ray tech so we shall see. Both programs will be hard to get in to. But for now I am just taking it one day at a time, semester at a time and just sticking with it.
We are headed to Arkansas this weekend. It seems like forever since we have been to the ranch. We are all really excited about getting to spend some time out there.
We have got to work on the house the last couple weekends. It was nice to get some stuff done but the list is still a mile long. No rush though we are just doing what we can. I painted the shutters two weekends ago and Shannon finished putting up the fence on the east side of the driveway. Our AC is fried and we finally found a new one that we picked up last week but we are just waiting on it to get hooked up. I am so over being hot!!!!
All together though...life is good! I know that I could not ask for a better man by my side or two better children to love! We have truly been blessed!!!
